“We will not be erased” is often used as a rallying cry for marginalized communities who have historically faced discrimination, oppression, and attempts at erasure. It is aslo a powerful declaration that asserts our existence and our right to be seen, heard, and valued. Erasure can take many forms, including cultural erasure, historical erasure, and social erasure. It can be perpetuated through systemic oppression, discrimination, and violence, as well as through more subtle forms of exclusion and marginalization. Our goal to share the wonderful history of the African diaspora with a focus on the Americas.
